Glitches Plague Common App

The Common Application, with over 500 client colleges and universities, launched its first all-digital form on August 1, 2013.  Since the inauguration of this new application, students have complained about a myriad of problems:  difficulty getting to the individual college supplements, problems with the appearance of essays when trying to print out or send, and other technical glitches.  The New York Times reported on October 13, 2013 that colleges are scrambling as students are trying to submit applications to meet the October 15 and November 1 and 15 deadlines.  IES advises our student clients to be in direct contact with any colleges where the Common App submission is compromised.
