Most people who associate University of Louisville with its prowess in the NCAA men’s basketball prowess might be surprised to know that it is a state-supported research university founded in 1798. The 22,293 graduates and undergraduates may choose among twelve colleges and schools in which to study, including business, law, dentistry, and medicine. The photos here are of one of its three campuses, this one located in downtown Louisville, four blocks from Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby. This campus houses the universities health care programs and the University of Louisville Hospital.
